One year ago, on May 15th 2024, we launched Splital into the Play Store and App Store. Just two developers with a working prototype and a big hope: that we could make something useful for people who need to split bills more easily.

At the time, Splital was very basic, not very polished, and could do one thing: create groups and add expenses.
First version of Splital (May 2024)
That's it. The UI was minimal, the user experience rough, and there were more than a few bugs to squash. But that version, as simple as it was, marked the beginning of something special.
What we didn't expect back then was how much Splital would grow, and that growth happened because of you.
In the early days we had few users and almost no feedback. With time, you started sharing bugs, suggestions, ideas, sometimes just kind words that kept us going.
With your help, we've spent the past 12 months improving Splital in every way, from the technical foundation to the features you've asked for the most.

In just one year, we've added:
- Automatic expense categorization
- Group spending stats and charts
- PDF and CSV export of expenses
- Image attachments
- Expense search
- A more intuitive user interface
…and a long list of small improvements that together make Splital more reliable, smoother, and easier to use.
A few numbers we still can't believe
Some highlights from our first year:
- 70,000+ downloads across the App Store and Play Store, with a 4.8-star average from over 850 reviews.
- Around 500,000 expenses logged together, roughly one every minute, non-stop, for twelve months straight.
- Splital is being used in more than 100 countries, with the biggest communities in Argentina, Italy, and Mexico.
These numbers remind us of how many people Splital is helping every day.
Year two starts now
We're proud of what we've built so far, but this is just the beginning. We have a long list of features in the works (many suggested by you), and we're committed to shaping Splital into the best possible app for managing both shared and personal expenses.
Splital is, and will remain, self-funded and proudly supported by our amazing users. We don't show ads. We don't have investors. No one is telling us what to build. We just listen to you.
